Johannes Brahms: Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor, Op. 25 (1856/61) 38`
Gabriel Fauré was a remarkable pianist who included his instrument in nearly all of his
compositions. However, it rarely took on a solo role; he preferred to incorporate it into
chamber ensembles to create a more intimate atmosphere. With the instrumental formula consisting of
a string trio and piano, he set out to follow—in his own way—in the footsteps of Schumann and Brahms.
TICKETS: 200 NOK, Available at the door

Dragony Tímea (1976 –) Stonefantasies (2018) 3:40
The concert program connects the voice of the inspiring female figure in the history of the cello, Lisa Cristiani, with the music of four female composers across time and tradition: Fanny Mendelssohn, Nadia Boulanger, Henriëtte Bosmansand Tímea Dragony. Through their music composed for cello and piano, a landscape of lyrical fervor, sonic sophistication and personal strength is explored. Mendelssohn’s romantic singability meets Boulanger’s clear lines and subtle harmonies, while Bosmans’ expressive modernism adds drama. Dragony’s music reflects contemporary sensibilities, where tradition and renewal merge in a vital tonal language. Together, the four works form a dialogue about artistic identity, resilience and creative freedom, conveyed through an intimate and powerful interaction.
